Immediate loading implant system

What are immediate loading implant systems?

Immediate loading implant system has a special place amongst dental implant treatments. As opposed to most treatments where months pass by between the implant and the delivery of the fixed prosthesis, the waiting time here is only a few days during which time the dental technician prepares the customized replacement that is going to be fixed.

What types of immediate loading implant systems exist?

First, in case of complete edentulousness this most frequently takes place with basal dental implants. Our partner clinics use Swiss IHDE implants, which have a history of twenty years of development, to great effect. Immediate loading is crucial for this dental implant as the stability of the complete replacement – of implants as well as the denture – is given by the connection of the implants with the help of a metal supported acrylic replacement.

The denture delivered four days after the surgical treatment is made of the same material as the detachable replacements, strengthened by a metal frame. This replacement is satisfactory both functionally and aesthetically. Technology doesn’t permit the replacement to be made from another material at the outset, but six months later it can be replaced with a metal ceramic or zirconium bridge on demand. However, the replacement of the primary denture is not necessary.

Secondly, it is possible to immediately load conventional dental implants. This less frequent case can only be applied when only a couple of adjacent teeth have been lost. It typically takes place with temporary metal ceramic crowns a few days after surgery. It should be emphasized that this is a possibility only in exceptional circumstances, proper anatomical and other conditions, the existence of which are examined by our specialist using X-ray imaging when preparing a quote.
